
Robinhood (HOOD) adds Crypto.com prediction markets and buys a stake in the exchange behind them
Robinhood is adding Crypto.com's OG.com contracts and buying stakes in both companies. Terms weren't disclosed. What it means: the broker that built its prediction business on Kalshi keeps buying into the competition, and the customer never sees which exchange gets the bet.

The Trade Desk (TTD) cuts 15% of staff as Zscaler (ZS) discloses layoffs hours earlier
The Trade Desk (TTD) told the SEC it will cut about 15% of staff, with $39 million to $51 million in charges. Zscaler (ZS) disclosed a 3% workforce cut ten hours earlier. They are the only two Item 2.05 filings on our watchlist inside the same 24 hours in a year.

NBA star Kevin Durant put $250,000 into Hugging Face. Nvidia's (NVDA) reported deal makes it worth about $60 million.
Nvidia (NVDA) is buying Hugging Face for $12.9 billion, with $11.9 billion of it payable to stockholders, and NBA star Kevin Durant's $250,000 early stake may be worth tens of millions. His firm also got into Coinbase at a $1.6 billion valuation and Whoop at $125 million.

Robinhood's second venture fund (RVII) is a bet on 80 Y Combinator startups. It opened below its $25 IPO price.
Robinhood Ventures Fund II (RVII) began trading Aug. 13 and sits below its $25 IPO price. The fund is a diversified bet on about 80 early-stage Y Combinator startups, most held through $250,000 SAFEs, and it charges a 2% management fee plus 20% of gains.

Cboe Options Exchange begins trading single-stock options at 7:30 a.m. ET on Monday, Aug. 17, two hours before the regular open. Limit orders only, no market or stop orders, and trades in the new sessions do not count toward the day's high and low.

About $25 billion of Microsoft's (MSFT) AI budget is memory getting more expensive. Wednesday says whether that grew.
Microsoft told investors in April it would spend about $190 billion on capital projects this year. Around $25 billion of that increase bought nothing new, it was the same buildout at a higher price after memory costs rose. Microsoft reports Wednesday after the close, two hours after the Fed decision.
