Key points
- Lumentum (LITE) and Coherent (COHR) have each beaten Wall Street's estimate 6 straight quarters. Intuitive Machines (LUNR) has missed 6 straight.
- More than 30 AI-linked stocks across photonics, space, cloud and neocloud computing, converted bitcoin miners, energy and defense report earnings the week of August 10 to 14, 2026.
- Options traders are pricing the week's biggest move into T1 Energy (±20.5%), a name with a 2 of 5 beat record, well above the ±13 to 15% priced into LITE and COHR's clean streaks.
- Nano Nuclear (NNE) has beaten every quarter it has had a Wall Street estimate for, 4 of 4.
Two photonics stocks and one space stock enter next week with a perfect record. Lumentum (LITE) and Coherent (COHR) have each beaten Wall Street's earnings-per-share estimate in every one of their last 6 quarters, and Virgin Galactic (SPCE) has done the same. On the other end, Intuitive Machines (LUNR) has missed every one of its last 6 quarters, and AST SpaceMobile (ASTS) has missed 5 of its last 6.
Both extremes report the week of August 10 to 14, along with more than two dozen other AI-linked names across photonics, space, cloud and neocloud computing, converted bitcoin miners, energy, defense and quantum computing. Every date and priced move below is also tracked live on our earnings calendar. Here is how each group's trailing record lines up against what the options market is pricing in for this round. A dash in the priced move column means the options market on that name is too thin to read.
Photonics has the cleanest record of the week
LITE and COHR make the optical components that move data between AI accelerators and between data centers, and both have beaten estimates every quarter for more than a year. LITE's last 4 beats have widened: 22%, 29%, 36% and 9% above consensus. COHR's beats have been steadier, mostly in the 4 to 20% range. POET Technologies (POET) is the outlier in the group, with only 1 beat in its last 6 quarters, and its report date isn't locked. Our own tracker had listed it for August 11, but the company has since signaled a window anywhere from August 14 to 19, so treat that date as unconfirmed until it firms up.
There's already a read-through trade being made on these two names. Applied Optoelectronics (AAOI) reported its own quarter on August 6, a double beat driven by 800G transceiver demand that founder and CEO Thompson Lin said had "more than doubled sequentially," and LITE and COHR both traded up after hours on that print even though AAOI itself sold off. David wrote at the time that he's holding AAOI into next week specifically because he expects LITE and COHR to confirm the same demand. If both extend their beat streaks to 7 straight on Tuesday and Wednesday, that's the signal his position is betting on.
| Company | Reports | Trailing record | Priced move |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lumentum (LITE) | Tue, Aug 11, after close | 6 of 6 beat | ±13.8% |
| Coherent (COHR) | Wed, Aug 12, after close | 6 of 6 beat | ±14.8% |
| POET Technologies (POET) | Unconfirmed, Aug 14 to 19 | 1 of 6 beat | — |
Space earnings are close to a coin flip
Six space and satellite names report in a single week, and the group splits cleanly into two camps. SPCE has beaten every quarter for a year and a half, with its losses narrowing each time. Firefly Aerospace (FLY) has beaten all 3 quarters it has reported since its IPO. On the other side, LUNR has missed all 6 of its last quarters and ASTS has missed 5 of 6. Rocket Lab (RKLB) sits in the middle, with 2 beats, 2 misses and 2 quarters that landed exactly on estimate. Spire Global (SPIR) has beaten 4 of its last 6. That split is likely why ASTS and RKLB carry two of the week's highest options-priced moves, ±14.4% and ±14.2%, well above the ±9 to 11% typical for a mega cap report. The options market has been pricing real uncertainty into this group since a 911 million share SpaceX unlock rallied the whole space trade earlier this month.
| Company | Reports | Trailing record | Priced move |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rocket Lab (RKLB) | Mon, Aug 10, after close | 2 of 6 beat | ±14.2% |
| AST SpaceMobile (ASTS) | Mon, Aug 10, after close | 0 of 6 beat | ±14.4% |

| Spire Global (SPIR) | Wed, Aug 12, after close | 4 of 6 beat | — |
| Virgin Galactic (SPCE) | Wed, Aug 12, after close | 6 of 6 beat | — |

Neoclouds beat more than converted bitcoin miners do
Our tracker groups pure-play neoclouds and converted bitcoin miners into the same sector, since both rent out GPU capacity, but their earnings records look nothing alike. CoreWeave (CRWV) has beaten 4 of its last 5 quarters, and Nebius (NBIS) has done the same. Cerebras (CBRS) beat its lone prior quarter with an estimate, though that is a single data point. The miners that pivoted hardware toward AI hosting have a rougher record. WhiteFiber (WYFI) has missed all 3 of its reported quarters. Keel Infrastructure (KEEL), the renamed Bitfarms, has beaten just 1 of its last 6. Bitdeer (BTDR) has 1 beat and 1 in-line quarter against 4 misses. HIVE Digital (HIVE) has beaten 2 of 6. Digi Power X (DGXX) is the pivot group's best performer at 4 of 6 beats. Riot Platforms (RIOT) is the wildest of the group, 3 beats and 3 misses, swinging from a $0.57 per share profit to a $2.03 per share loss inside a single year, because bitcoin's price moves straight through its GAAP earnings as a mark-to-market gain or loss. Several of these names were already in focus after Texas froze new data center grid connections pending a 474 gigawatt audit of requests, which an analyst flagged as a bigger risk to some miners than others.

Energy, defense and quantum round out the week
Nano Nuclear (NNE) has the strongest record among the smaller names, 4 straight beats in every quarter it has carried a Wall Street estimate. Plug Power (PLUG) and Babcock & Wilcox (BW) are each riding 3 straight beats into their Monday reports. T1 Energy (TE) is more volatile, 2 beats in its last 5 quarters, and its report date has bounced between sources; our tracker has it confirmed for Wednesday morning. X-Energy (XE) and Fermi (FRMI) are both too newly public to judge, with only 1 quarter each against a Wall Street estimate, and both missed it.
Defense has no standout. Ondas (ONDS) has 2 beats and 3 misses in its last 6 quarters, but its most recent print swung to an actual $0.56 per share profit against an expected loss. Draganfly (DPRO) and USA Rare Earth (USAR) both sit around a coin flip. AIRO Group (AIRO) is the weak link, 1 beat in its last 4 quarters. Gorilla Technology (GRRR) is thinly covered by analysts, with only 2 quarters carrying an estimate, and like TE its date has been inconsistent between data sources. Quantum Computing Inc (QUBT) is the only quantum name reporting next week, and it has 3 beats and an in-line quarter in its last 5.

Put next to each other, the pattern holds across every group this week: a clean beat streak doesn't line up with a small priced move, and a rough record doesn't line up with a large one. The options market is pricing uncertainty, not a lean toward a beat or a miss. Photonics carries the best trailing record in the group and only a moderate priced move. Space carries the widest range of outcomes, from a perfect record to a winless one, and its priced moves reflect that spread rather than picking a side.
This is not investment advice. Earnings dates, estimates and options-priced moves are from AIStockWire's earnings tracker and Robinhood market data as of August 8, 2026, and report dates for POET, TE and GRRR in particular can still shift before the week is out.
