AI stock battle week 5: all six AIs lost money for the first time and all six are still up (August 22, 2026)
All six models lost money in the same week for the first time. Applied Optoelectronics opened a new $600 million stock program after the close and fell about 10% by the settle.

Lee Ainslie's Maverick Capital held 20 million Infleqtion (INFQ) shares in February. Now it has 1.4 million left.
Lee Ainslie's Maverick Capital has reported about $266 million of Infleqtion (INFQ) stock sales since May, and Friday's filing shows the wind-down is nearly finished. A stake that started at 20 million shares in February is down to 1.4 million, and an August misstep means Maverick owes Infleqtion a $299,922.51 check.

AI stock battle week 4: Grok took the lead, and ChatGPT's one trade broke the rules (August 15, 2026)
Grok took the lead without making a single trade in four weeks. ChatGPT finally tried to move and picked the one stock the rules would not let it buy.
13 of Jim Cramer's last 15 tech calls beat the Nasdaq. The stocks he told people to avoid did even better.
I built a page to track how wrong Jim Cramer is. Right now 13 of his last 15 tech calls are beating the Nasdaq, and the stocks he waved people off are doing better than the ones he liked.

AI stock battle week 3: all six AIs finished up at least 16%, DeepSeek up 24% (August 8, 2026)
All six AI models finished week 3 up at least 16%. DeepSeek leads at $12,407, up 24%, on a book of five companies that all lose money, and four of the six made no trades at all.

Rigetti (RGTI) and D-Wave (QBTS) report earnings Thursday. Rigetti's last profit was a warrant revaluation.
D-Wave reports Thursday morning and Rigetti Thursday afternoon, with IonQ going first on Wednesday. The Street wants about $4 million of revenue from D-Wave and $5 million from Rigetti, against market caps of $8.1 billion and $5.8 billion.
I run an Inverse Cramer tracker. Jim Cramer just went 6 for 8, led by Astera Labs' 30% rally.
I built a page to track how wrong Jim Cramer is, and I like the guy anyway. Six of his last eight tech calls beat the Nasdaq, and the one that didn't is the one holding my whole tracker up.

AI stock battle week 2: DeepSeek led every day until Friday, then Claude took it (August 1, 2026)
DeepSeek finished first at every close of week 1 while Claude sat last on Monday. Then Ambarella rose 16% on Friday and the order flipped. Plus a holding that got acquired and delisted mid-contest, and the first week of models choosing their own position sizes.

We gave six AIs $10,000 each to pick small-cap AI stocks. Five bought the same one.
Six AI chatbots each got $10,000 for small-cap AI stocks. Five bought SoundHound (SOUN), and their written reasons are nearly identical. DeepSeek leads week one.

I gave six AIs $10,000 for AI stocks. Five bought SoundHound (SOUN), one bought a construction company.
Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, DeepSeek and Meta AI each got a paper $10,000 and five slots, capped at $10 billion. Five bought SoundHound. Claude bought a gas-plant builder. Two of them broke the rules on the first try.

All seven Magnificent Seven stocks fell today. Here's where that money actually went (July 23, 2026)
All seven Magnificent Seven stocks were red by late morning Thursday, led by Tesla's 14% drop on an earnings miss and Alphabet's close-to-7% slide despite beating estimates, on another capex raise. Amazon and Meta sold off too ahead of next week's reports. The money didn't just leave, it rotated: into defense on Lockheed's earnings beat, and out of quantum, SaaS and space.

I let Claude AI trade $100 on Robinhood, week 4: It's 0 for 4, then it passed on IREN's 17% jump, and watched it run higher
Claude AI is 0 for 4 with my $100 and the account is down to $74.59. On Monday it built an order for IREN at $39.45, then found that the same stock had popped on the same news back on July 6 and given back 23%, and walked away. IREN ran higher without it.

The Close, July 14: IBM lost a quarter of its value, and SK Hynix's Nasdaq stock jumped 27%
IBM lost about a quarter of its value in a single session after a weak preliminary report, and the damage spread across enterprise software. SK Hynix's brand-new Nasdaq stock went the other way, jumping 27% on a day chips broadly rallied.

I let Claude AI trade $100 on Robinhood, week 3: it sold MSTR right at the low and it gapped up 6% the next morning
The AI running my $100 Robinhood account cut MicroStrategy (MSTR) at $90.93 on Monday. Tuesday morning MSTR gapped up about 6%. It drives me insane, but the deal was that Claude makes the calls, so I am letting it ride.

Bullish Watch, week of July 13: the market panicked over a Meta headline, and got it wrong
This week's watchlist, updated through Tuesday: Nebius gave back its early bounce on a data-center headline unrelated to its business, Kraken Robotics is holding up best of the five, Intel swung from a 6% drop to a 4.5% rally in two days, and Rocket Lab and Harmonic are still finding their footing.

Today's AI rotation map: out of the chips, into software, power and the frontier
A snapshot of Monday's rotation: as the AI build-out sold off, money moved into software (ServiceNow, Adobe), AI power (GE Vernova), quantum, space and cyber. A one-day picture that can flip fast.

The government is betting billions on quantum computing, but the payoff is years away
Washington is now a quantum-computing investor, having committed about $2 billion to nine companies and taken equity stakes back in May. But the technology will not pay off for years, and the pure-play stocks are already priced for a future that has not arrived. Here is the realistic picture.
